Job description
As a Medical Assistant you will be responsible for providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the providers. You will support the providers and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization and communication. The target is to complete all activities accurately, with high quality and in a timely manner.
Responsibilities
- Interview patients and document basic medical history
- Organize and schedule appointments
- Update and file medical recordsĀ
- Arrange laboratory services
- Room patients and update patient’s charts
- Assist during medical examinations
- Produce and distribute correspondence memos, letters, faxes, and forms
- Prepare and clean treatment rooms and medical instruments
Skills
- Proven work experience as a medical assistantĀ
- Knowledge of medical procedures
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
- Self-motivator and brings a good work ethicĀ
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Proficiency in patient management software
- Preferred certification as a Medical Assistant
- CPR certified
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $17.00 – $20.00 per hour
